Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) was created by Marsha Linehan specifically to treat Borderline Personality Disorder, but over the years it has been demonstrated to be successful at treating a wide variety of disorders involving emotional dysregulation. If you are troubled with difficult emotions like anger, sadness, depression or stress then this DBT Skills Group might be of help.
DBT relies on practical skills that focus on a “how to” approach. Handouts are provided at each group. Groups are an hour long with an optional 30 minute question and answer discussion after each group.
Groups meet once per week at a time determined by all members of the group. Groups usually meet either on the weekend or during weekday evenings.
Each group begins when at least five people have enrolled. Groups meet at the Mindful Ecotherapy Center.
There are currently TWO people on the waiting list for the next group.
